Woodson Martin, of Team Brownsville, joined us to discuss the families at the border and we can be part of the humanitarian effort to help them. Woodson filled us in on A LOT of important details about what’s happening at the border that you won’t hear on the news! It as eye-opening. Team Brownsville is now a 501(c)3 and you can donate to help buy living supplies for those sleeping on the street in Mexico, waiting to be allowed across the bridge to ask for asylum, and for those just released from detention centers, allowed to travel to stay with their sponsors wherever they are in the country with nothing by the clothes they’ve been wearing for weeks. You can donate money for food, snacks for the trip, change of clothes, toys for the children, etc. You can make a one-time donation or make it recurring, so that Team Brownsville can plan, by going to TeamBrownsville.org and clicking on the donate button. You can see on the website where your money is going. You can also donate needed items, such as underwear of all sizes, by clicking on the [email protected] on the website. If you want to volunteer, they can really use your help when the current volunteers return to school in the fall. Find out more by clicking on the link volunteer @teambrownsville.org on the website.
