Veteran First Sergeant Will Williams, a friend of the program and the winner of multiple awards for his service in the community joined us to tell us about a whole bunch of new volunteer activities to get involved with!  Will was  just awarded as “Sponsor of the Year” by Manor and Austin area Hispanic community!  Congratulations, Will!!  It’s well-deserved.  

Will told us about the annual Honor Flight to the war memorials in Washington, DC.  He is escorting several WWII and Korean War veterans on this trip from Austin next weekend.  Will has invited everyone local to come out on  Saturday evening (Sept. 23) at 6pm to welcome them back home at Austin Airport.

Jazz saxophonist, Paula Atherton returned and this time she brought jazz trumpet player, Cindy Bradley!  They are the jazz superheroes, “The Fabulous Blondes.”   They joined us to celebrate that their song together, “Girl Talk,” has hit #3 on Billboard!  And we played it on the show!  Both women have 4 CD’s out and Paula is almost ready to release her 5th.  They are both touring the country to perform.  Find out about their performance schedule, listen to some of their music, and purchase their music at: CindyBradley.com and PaulaAtherton.com.
