E.C. Hurley; DMin, Ph.D., Psychologist, Founder/Executive Director of Soldier Center located in Clarkesville Tenn, and a veteran of Desert Storm. Dr. Hurley is a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress and holds the status of Diplomate with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Dr Hurley is an EMDR trainer who has trained military mental health professionals in EMDR throughout the world from Europe, Korea, and U.S. military bases throughout the United States. He presents on EMDR at conferences around the world and provides therapy to military personnel, veterans, and their family members. Dr. Hurley joined us from Tennessee to talk about the extremely effective technique of EMDR, what it is and it’s use for combat-related and non-combat-related PTSD and other emotional conditions.

Both veterans spoke about how their involvement in helping others has helped them with their own PTSD.
