Did you miss the show?  It was GREAT and you can hear it all right at the link below:

We had a very full evening of discussion and music!

First, I discussed the subject of women finding our inner power and our “voice,” rather than feeling “invisible,” in our middle years and beyond…and the importance of women supporting each other in moving along our path to follow our dreams…at any age!

J.Pieratt will joined us in the studio talk about the up-coming Mossfest.  Musician, Sara Hickman, who was the Official State Musician of Texas in 2010-2011, has been instrumental in scheduling the multiple bands for this event.  Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is the sudden and unexpected death of a child over the age of 12 months, which remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation is conducted.  John “Moss” Pieratt, Jr. was born on February 5, 2013 in Houston, Texas and passed away on April 26, 2014 in his parent’s hometown of Austin, Texas.  A little more than a year after the death of John “Moss” Pieratt, Jr., the Pieratt and Jenkins Families jointly decided to start a foundation that would honor the cherished life of Moss and to raise funds and awareness to find a cause or cure for the sudden unexplained death in children over the age of 12 months (“SUDC”) and provide a civic benefit to the citizens of Austin.  The inaugural MossFest will be held during the ABC Kite Festival at the historic Zilker Hillside Theater on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 10am to 4pm, featuring various local artists, vendors and associated child-friendly activities.  Find out more about Moss Fest and about Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood by going to: www.MossPierattFoundation.org.  You can also make a donation there!  Donations go for research at NYU about SUDC, as well as Epilepsy.

We closed out the evening with an interview with musician Robert Kelly of the UNIQUE band Blue Mist.  All of the band members met each other at the Austin School for the Blind and have been together for over 26 years!!  Blue Mist is quite busy playing all around Austin, regularly, and they are available for tours.  In addition, they have an EP and just completed a full CD.  They are currently getting ready to record another CD.  You can find out where they’re playing, listen to their music, purchase their music, “friend” the band, and contact them at their accessible website: www.BlueMistBand.com.
