Roberta Leiner, LMSW

Roberta, who was born two months following the passing of Rabbi Marcus,  joined us from NY to talk about living with the legacy of her larger-than-life father and how it has driven her own life, including her focus on making sure that no one feels that they are on the outside looking in, but that we are all fully embraced by a caring and compassionate community!

For more information about Rabbi Marcus, be sure to read the book by bestselling author, Naomi Levy, Einstein and the Rabbi:  Searching for the Soul.  Also, be sure read Rabbi Levy’s article about Rabbi Marcus on the anniversary of the liberation of Buchenwald, during which Rabbi Marcus liberated close to 1,000 children (including the author, speaker, and Nobel Laureate, Elie Wiesel), The Incredible Story Of Einstein And The Orthodox Rabbi Who Saved The Boys Of Buchenwald.  PBS just ran a movie that spoke about Rabbi Marcus among other Jewish Americans who served in the military during WWII, GI Jews.
