HeatherAsh Amara is a teacher, guide, and author of numerous books. As the founder of Toci – the Toltec Center for Creative Intent, she has facilitated hundreds of workshops in the Toltec tradition and she has taught extensively with don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements. Raised in Southeast Asia, HeatherAsh has traveled the world from childhood and is continually inspired by the diversity and beauty of human expression and experience. She brings this openhearted, inclusive worldview to her writings and teachings, which are a rich blend of Toltec wisdom, European shamanism, Buddhism, and Native American ceremony.

The very talented Austin musician, Sharon Bourbonnais, joined us, once again in the studio! Accompanying her, was her bass player from Sharon’s jazz group, Tres Bourbonnais, Eric Leikam. Sharon filled us in on their upcoming gigs and played some of her original music! Catch Tres Bourbonnais every other Monday at the bar in the Driskill Hotel, 6pm to 8:30pm! Tres Bourbonnais will be performing in New Orleans on Aug. 28 at the Little Jim Saloon…and they’re available to play on the 27th in New Orleans or Houston, along the way!! Catch Tres Bourbonnais on South Padre Island at Laguna Bob’s! That’s October, 15, 16, 17, and 18! Tres Bourbonnais recently performed on the Austin City Jams. ALSO, friend of the show, recipient of multiple awards for Service to Mankind, Veteran, First Sergeant Will Williams filled us in on how we can be of service to your fellow men, women, and children. Will told us his good news! He was nominated for a Congressional Award for achievement in and out of the military AND the Volunteer of the Year Award by the State of Texas!
Will told us about the Back-to-School program that he’s working on, which will gift 2,000 children with school supplies. Volunteers are needed, so, if you’re in Central Texas and want to volunteer this Friday, Aug. 13, or Aug. 21, contact Will at [email protected].
