Kerri Barber, health insurance specialist & expert in navigating the online Exchange Marketplace and Medicare products, spoke to us from Chicago about finding the right health care solutions for YOU with regard to the new health care laws. Kerri advised that, in order to avoid medical bankruptcy, it’s important to have critical illness and critical accident insurance as part of your health insurance plan. She also advises that, if you use a professional agent to help you to find the best plan for you (which is extremely helpful, I can tell you from MY OWN experience), be sure to avoid scams by: 1. Making sure that your agent has a valid license by checking on their National License Number; 2. Your agent should never charge a fee; & 3. Any fees that you pay, should be paid directly to the health insurance company whose plan you are purchasing.
You can contact Kerri about finding an agent who is licensed in YOUR state, by going to: http://kerribarber.com/, by e-mailing Kerri directly at: [email protected], or by calling: (224) 829-8991.
