If you missed last night’s on-location show at The Oasis on Lake Travis in Austin, TX, you can hear the podcast right here, at the end of this post! We had lots of fun and some interesting discussions.
What a beautiful evening to hold the radio show on the balcony outside of The Oasis restaurant! We had several surprise guests, salsa dancers, and interesting discussions.
The Oasis was getting crowded with salsa dancers, waiting for The Brew to start playing.
Austin’s favorite salsa band, The Brew, plays every Sunday evening from 7:30pm to 10pm at The Oasis all the way through October. Mark and Michael Rodriguez, 2 of the 3 brothers who are the core of the band, joined me for an interview before they had to be on-stage to start playing. You can find out their full calendar for performances at: www.brewmusic.com

Joe Rodriguez also popped by to say HI before going on-stage.
The Italian sculptor, Giancarlo Cantazaro, came by and spoke about his artwork. You can see some of Giancarlo’s beautiful stone sculptures at: www.sculptureranch.com.

Giancarlo speaking to me on the radio about his artwork.
Danielle Cauley, Sales and Marketing Director at The Court at Round Rock Retirement Community, called in to talk about her own experience of being a working, single, mother, while caring for her own mother.
And my own mother, in town for Mother’s Day, came to the show and spoke about her thoughts about Austin and about her own experience as caregiver for her mom with Alzheimer’s disease.
Mom & Dad came to be part of the show.
Then the sun set over Lake Travis and they rang the bell.
