It was another very unique and interesting/informative line-up of guests!

Aralyn Hughes, Editor and co-Author of the new book, “Kid Me Not: An Anthology By Child-Free Women of the 60’s Now In Their 60’s,” with a forward by Elizabeth Gilbert (Author of “Eat, Pray, Love”), along with 2 other authors of this anthology, Norma Inman & Judy Johnson Ballard, joined us to talk about their new book and what they faced being child-free women of the 60’s.  It was a really interesting discussion and the book is definitely worth reading, for women and men, for parents and for child-free adults, alike!  You can find out more about this book, about the women who participated in this project, you can PURCHASE this book, and much more, by going to: www.ChildFreeWomen.com.  You can also find out about other resources for women without children by going to: www.GatewayWomen.com.  “Kid Me Not” is available on Amazon, as well as in several retail stores around Texas, including Book Women in Austin.

Have you been to the Luxor in Las Vegas?  Have you been to Disneyland…or to any of the ornate casinos around the country?  Then you know about those very large ornate statues and the ornate building facades.  Alan Roy Carrington, mold-maker, artist, and former rock-n-roller on South Padre Island, is one of the creators of those structures.  He joined us from Salt Lake City, Utah to talk about how they are created.  This is quite an interesting process.  You can find out more about it at: www.Western-Architectual.com.  You can contact Alan at his FB page for more information (Alan Roy Carrington on Facebook).

ALSO… I spoke about the health risks of Sugar, the Sugar-Depression and Sugar-Anxiety link, as well as why you want to eat more sugar once you start (Sugar is addictive and has actually been found to be more addictive than cocaine!).  I also spoke about how to break the sugar addiction and get back on track!
